I just test drove one of these (which I had to do with an independent used car dealer, given the downright pointlessness of visiting a total of three Ford dealers) and was surprised to find no Isofix child seat mounts. Is there a way to rectify this?
not easily. It is an issue. check under specs for iso fix, it will save you some running around. on our search box on the home page, type in key word "isofix". It will bring up vehicles with iso fix in the spec sheet.

Is the navigation systen standard equipment on the Ford Everest 2.2 XLT A/T 2017 model?
Yes from April 2017 but only in the more expensive ones
I brought a new one last week at Boksburg. Yes from April the navigation is built in. First I thought that their navigation may not be as good as my google map, but when I started realized that it is very practical. nice displays and and alarms ad professional guidelines.. very useful tool. The new XLT also comes with a driver knee air bag built in. If you dealer have March stock it may not have built in GPS ( If we want to fit it separately it may cost additional R 7000) .The extra money you may pay for the XLT is worth for the wonderful display and entertainment system .One additional assessory i recommend is the front parking assistant indicator which they can fir for R 3000- VERY USEFUL) Overall XLT is value for money. Everest got more space and value for Money than the other bigger SUVs in the market. Waiting for the SAF sales trend of May to see the evidence of it.
I Brought a new Ford Everest XLT -Auto. It is a nice vehicle and value for money@R4820000 @Ford Credt. The GPS in built in now 9 since April). The car is extremely smooth on road. Power is good thanks to the proven 2.2 Engine. The Auto vehicle is much smoother than the manual version. One of my biggest concern was parking difficulty, but I find it very easier than my previous Mazda 5, with the light steering, rear camera and park assistance indicator and my " added font distance indicator" the parking is very easy and smooth. My family enjoy every minute in it. The info/ entertainment system is very good, very clear and big and user friendly(one big advantage compared to XLS version). Thanks to Ford for making it affordable at this price ( compared to the Limited range which is at 690000). One word- Value for money- Long term use multi purpose executive tough family vehicle.

Hi ...how is it possible that a vehicle of this range 2.2 xlt everest does not include xenon healamps or sunroof.i appraoched a dealership and had a discussion about this which is the only factor i am facing in a buy or not decision. competitors in its class all have xenons as a standard feature. i understand that the vehicle is now manufactured in pretoria to reduce costs...but atleast offer this as optional extras to those customers that wish for it. i have been told by the dealership that this cannot be done even if ordered.my current vehicle has xenons ...and when i drive family or friends vehicles with no xenons i really struggle. my point is that we goin into 2018 with almost every vehicle having xenons..if not ...it is an optional extra ..NOT the case with Ford.
You are correct on the lights. I just bought the 2.2XLT. Only disappointment is the lights. I have gotten use to not having it but I did some research and in other countries they have retrofitted or just replaced the lamps. Not sure how practical is that in South africa. Never the less I am enjoying it. Love the space it offers and powerful machine indeed.
My gripe is with the auto lights. at least the lights should be switching on automatically. The equivalent Ranger has this function. i wonder if its just a case of purchasing a switch from the ranger and its plug and play. i notice the Sync 3 unit changes colour at night and day so i assume the sensor is fitted.
The auto headlights on the Everest XLT was noted as standard from Sept 2017 phamplet. Your dealer should be able to fit the switch from the factory as it is listed. It's a matter of unplug and plug in the replacement. Works 100%. The only sad part on the Everest XLT lights....cannot adjust hight.
it is not a simple as fitting the dash switch. You also need the sensor and other stuff(wiring)
I have a Ford everest TDCI 2012 and I noticed that the engine symbol is staying on even when the engine is running. In this case the car looses power. Anyone knows what causes this?
I bought a used Ford Everest XLT from a reputable ford leadership in the Northern suburbs in Jo’burg about three weeks ago. I got the 3.2 ltr engine! Wow, what a machine! It is my first ever Ford car and was rather nervous about buying into the brand! I initially test drove the Wildtrak and fell in love with the truck! The amount of high tech features on that thing for a bakkie is simply unreal!! I mean, you have lane departure warning, radar cruise control, the works!!! Things have come a mighty long way since I last drove my Dad’s Mazda Drifter!! But alas for a man with a family of three kids better sense had to prevail and so I succumbed to my wife’s not-so-suttle nudges to get the 7 seater Everest instead! It turns out that this was no compromise at all! The XLT Everest is smoother and more refined on the road than that leaf sprung Wildtrak! It is also not much of a compromise on “street cred” either! So I was notably horrified to see about three clear oil drops on my garage tiles about a week ago.
At first I thought it must have come from a friend’s fairly new A6 that had parked on my spot a week earlier! It certainly couldn’t be my new-ish Everest that had only done 16,000kms on the clock!!!
I promptly called up my friend and asked him to check for oil leak spots on his garage floor - his Audi must be leaking oil! Long story short, it turns out, it MY Everest that is leaking! I am mortified!! Is this a common problem with these cars or did I just buy a lemon!? Is this an easy fix with the promise of trouble free motoring thereafter or the start of a bad relationship with Ford!?
What is your fuel on the 2.2 everist xlt outo
Terrible, over 13l per 100km. I have complained about this to Ford and they say it will improve over time. I dont believe it
I bought a new Everest 2.2 Tdci XLS and have experienced loud rattles from the engine when cold even under light acceleration. Now been back for software updates twice but no change. This is not a new Ford engine so why am I getting problems?
Ok soo i bought the ford everest even tho it comes with no xenons in the year 2018 :(:(. guess what! thats not the only thing it doesnt come with. Its my first off road vehicle ever so every other vehicle ive had had this function. Not sure whats up with Ford....Its doesnt have A SERVICE INTERVAL LIGHT OR INDICATOR. wtf...still learning about this Ford Brand
I Purchased new ford everest 2.2 XLT and was told navigation is standard on the 2018 model. this does not seem to be the case , the dealership says i need to connect my iphone and it mirrors the app on my screen , is this correct?
