A knock would typically be a bearing. You refer to something ussually called a piston slap. This can only be determined by a seasoned technition.

yes! Common problem. Small end failure on piston #1 or #4. Piston pin bush collapses causing piston to hit cylinder head.

I was told that our Kia's engine is finished. Apparently when the vehicle has a heavy load and the gears are changed from 5th to 4th it can cause an over rev? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hi, I bought kia k2700 last year (July 2018) and all is well with it except for the fuel consumption which is too much. Can anyone help me how to overcome this problem and also advise how much tyre pressure should I apply as I have consulted with three different Kia dealers with different answers that I must use 240, 250 and/or 260 tyre pressure. I would greatly appreciate your help with regard to this

Surely, at our RSA fuel price one get approx 6 plus liters for100 Rand. You are thus achieving about 10 kilometres per litre of fuel' which is good.

I have sourced a used kia sub assembly, the sleeves seem lose. Is this normal?
