Vehicle carrier operator HUAL celebrates its tenth year servicing the South African motor industry with some new developments.

With up to 12 calls per month at Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London, HUAL’s South African office has shown strong growth, which it plans to celebrate in style.

As part of a fleet renewal programme during 2003, the company will add two more Pure Car/Truck Carriers, with a capacity of 6 100 cars each, to its existing fleet of 45. Three similar ships are reportedly in the pipeline for delivery next year and HUAL has placed a R1 750 million order for five vessels to be delivered in 2004 and 2005.

These new carriers are in response to a demand for PCTC vessels and is indicative of the HUAL’s desire to meet customer requirements, both locally and abroad, as our motor industry becomes increasingly integrated into global automakers’ sourcing plan.
