Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa has confirmed that 55 examples of the Ford Mustang Bullitt have been set aside for South Africa, set to hit local roads towards the end of July or beginning of August.
At the same time, the facelifted Ford Mustang range will arrive, sporting exterior updates and the option of the new 10-speed automatic transmission option already servicing the Ranger and Everest family.
The special-edition Mustang Bullitt derivative will head up the local line-up, offering 353 kW and 570 N.m from its naturally aspirated 5,0-litre V8 engine. Built to commemorate the car famously driven by Steve McQueen in the movie Bullitt, the range-topping Mustang features approprately upgraded styling and bespoke trimmings.
With pricing for the updated range yet to be announced, expect the Mustang to continue to return impressive monthly sales figures for its maker.
